TRS commits $200m to EQT Exeter

Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois has announced $200 million in commitments to real assets, according to a recent press release.

Within the institutions’ $12.4 billion real assets portfolio, a commitment of $200 million was made to EQT Exeter Industrial Value Fund VI.

EQT Exeter has an existing relationship with TRS Illinois. It currently administers $350 million in TRS assets.

Illinois Teachers’ allocates 19.2 percent to real assets from its investment portfolio, surpassing its target of 15 percent. The institution’s recent fund commitments are predominately focused on funds seeking opportunistic returns.
