Thompson adds former Guardian exec as COO

Thompson National Properties has appointed Neil Miller as chief operating officer and general counsel. In his new position, Miller will work on the firm’s joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, product development and operations and legal direction.

Prior to joining Thompson, Miller was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Guardian Companies, a group of real estate and operating companies with operations in Arizona and California. He was also executive vice president and chief financial officer at American Golf Corporation and National Golf Properties. 

Irvine, California-based Thompson National Properties was launched in May by Anthony Thompson, the former chairman of Grubb and Ellis. Jack Maurer is Thompson’s vice-chairman, partner and founding member, while former NFL American football quarterback Cade McNown is senior vice president of investor development.
