Schroders forms Italian team with senior appointments

Schroders has appointed former Hines investment executive Marina Bottero as head of property fund management, Italy. The firm has also promoted Cristina Ferrari Bravo to head of property asset management, Italy.

Schroders, the London-based asset management firm has appointed Marina Bottero to head its fund management business in Italy.

Bottero will be responsible for expanding the business in the country where she has a 20 year track record, according to an announcement by the firm today.

She previously led the investment team of Houston-based Hines in Italy until early 2009. Before then she worked for real estate firm Beni Stabili, and prior to that, she was head of the Milan office of property services firm, Jones Lang LaSalle.

Schroders has also appointed Cristina Ferrari Bravo as head of property asset management, Italy. Bravo, who has been with Schroders since 2003, was previously responsible for the asset management for the firm’s shopping centre portfolio.

The pair will work alongside Mathieu Cassinis, head of property transactions, Italy.

Their appointments are the latest in a string of recent hires by the firm in Europe, including that of Buddy Roes as head of logistics, from ING Real Estate Investment Management.
