SCERS approves 2024 real estate pacing plan

The US public pension fund has approved a target of $120m to private real estate in the new year.

In its 2023 Year in Review and 2024 Annual Investment Plan, Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System outlined its plan for next year. SCERS will target $120 million, making commitments to two to five non-core funds, with an average of $40 million per non-core fund. SCERS is seeing limited opportunities in core real estate funds in the short term over non-core funds.
