Peter Hobbs, the global head of real estate research at alternatives firm RREEF, is joining Investment Property Bank (IPD) as senior director and head of business development.
Hobbs becomes number two at the London-based organisation, which measures commercial real estate and fund performance among other real estate-related data.
He will report to managing director Laurent Ternisien, IPD said in a statement, while also continuing to work with RREEF on specific research projects.
A former property agent at Jones Lang Wootton, Hobbs’ resume includes a five-year stint in the US from 1999 for Property and Portfolio Research (PPR). From there he joined RREEF – part of Deutsche Bank – in 2004 where he held a number of senior roles, most recently heading its research division.
