The big day has finally arrived, and as Americans head to the polls on Tuesday to elect their next president, the race seems to be inching closer than ever between the two leading contenders: Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump. Although the debates have centred around Clinton and Trump, let’s not forget the third-party candidates – the Libertarian Party’s Gary Johnson and the Green Party’s Jill Stein – who could seduce some undecided voters.
At Private Equity International, we’ve followed the race closely all year, from looking at the issues close to the private equity world, mainly the tax treatment of the carried interest, to analysing how PE professionals have supported candidates with their purses. We’re now giving you the opportunity to voice your opinion as to who will get, or already has, your vote for President of the United States of America.
