The firm has tapped George Herold from UK property investor Matrix to head up efforts in the UK and Europe.

HDG Mansur Investment Services, the international private equity real estate firm, has appointed George Herold in its London office as head of acquisitions in the UK and Europe.

The company said Herold would fill the position left vacant by Richard den Hartigh. As part of his new role, Herold will be responsible for leading the UK and Europe acquisitions Group and will source acquisition and development opportunities, according to the firm.

He was previously at UK company Matrix Property Fund Management where he was lead originator in European real estate investment opportunities.

HDG Mansur is seeking to raise $350m for a US opportunity fund and more than $200m for a vehicle targeting both the US and Europe, according to an announcement in August.
