EXCLUSIVE: CAPRA Global Partners hires C&W fundraiser

Ex-Cushman & Wakefield partner Luca Giangolini has joined the placement agent and real estate investment advisor’s London office.

CAPRA Global Partners, a private real estate placement agent and advisor, has hired Luca Giangolini, formerly of private equity-backed global property services firm Cushman & Wakefield.

Giangolini, who was an ex-partner in the corporate finance team and more recently was the head of the capital raising business at Cushman & Wakefield, has joined CAPRA’s London office as a consultant.

“We have seen increased capital flows into real estate in recent years with investors recognising the strong risk adjusted returns on offer and the attractive premium to fixed income yields,” Giangolini commented. “CAPRA's specialization, alignment model and growing reputation, leaves the business well positioned for further success.”

Over the last 12 years Giangolini has secured over €3.2 billion of capital for various real estate investment vehicles and projects. Recent successes include raising £300 million (€409 million; $458 million) of equity for a core plus UK real estate fund managed by Legal & General and arranging a commitment of $75 million from a European LP into a China-focused fund.

CAPRA was formed in 2012 by Anthony Biddulph and Nick Ridgewell and has provided advice and secured investor commitments of over €600 million for clients in the last 18 months.
