Cording names Bysh as sole CEO

The London-based real estate investment management firm has streamlined its senior management as it looks to expand its reach in Europe.

Cording Real Estate Group, the European real estate investment firm, has appointed Rodney Bysh as its sole chief executive officer.

Bysh, who was previously the London-based firm’s joint CEO, has been mandated to expand Cording’s investment management platform, where his focus will be on segregated accounts. As part of his new role he will be responsible for the firm’s German and Dutch offices.

Bysh joined Cording in 2013 when the firm merged with Feldberg’s real estate management arm. He was formerly CEO at Feldberg Capital. Prior to that he was managing director at Rothschild and head of European business development at Henderson Global Advisors.

Cording’s other joint CEO, Peter Dove, becomes UK head of asset and property management. In other board changes at Cording Will Amies will become deputy CEO and Mark Millar will become head of investment.

The Cording board now comprises chairman John Partridge, CEO Bysh, deputy CEO Amies, head of asset and property management Dove, head of investment Millar, chief operating officer Bill Hackney and group finance director Philip Gittins.

Partridge said: “Today’s changes will streamline and simplify our business and enable members of our senior management team to focus on their particular areas of expertise”.

“Bysh is a hugely experienced and talented individual who will lead our growth strategy. He will be ably supported by Amies, who has played a significant part in the firm’s growth since he joined three years ago”.

Earlier this month, Cording appointed former FGH Bank real estate manager René de Heus as director of investment for Benelux to ramp up its operation in the region.

The firm, whose target markets are the UK, Germany, Scandinavia and Benelux, was founded in 2008 and currently has €2.7 billion of assets under management.
