Chicago Teachers seeks real estate fund managers

The Illinois pension wants assistance with its investment needs.

Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund has issued a request for proposal for all qualified professional firms interested in providing non-core real estate investment services to the fund. The investment manager must have a fully documented 5 year track record of investments in non-core real estate assets on behalf of institutional investors. Only closed-end commingled funds will be considered. The investment manager must also have a minimum of $1 billion in firm assets under management, however smaller firms may be considered. Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund’s expected commitment size will be up to $125 million and it may consider hiring more than one investment manager. The due date for submission is August 17, 2018.
