CBRE opens Dutch office

The US investor says it is opening in the Netherlands as part of a growth plan in Europe where it advises a series of value added and opportunistic funds.

Richard Ellis, the global real estate investment management firm, has opened a Dutch office, located in the Schiphol Airport area, close to Amsterdam.

The branch is part of European expansion plans for Richard Ellis, the fund manager of Strategic Partners Europe, a series of valued added and opportunistic pan European investment programmes.

The firm also said it had hired Roel Van Binsbergen as an asset manager in the new Dutch office. He will work for the Strategic Partners Europe investment team.

As well as its direct funds business, the firm has been beefing up in its fund of funds team. In July it revealed Ian Gleeson was joining its expanding Global Multi-Manager platform from Morley Fund Management as chief investment officer. That business was started in 2006.
