CBRE Investors expands NY team

The global real estate investment firm has added a real estate pro as portfolio manager and managing director for its managed accounts group.

Richard Ellis, based in Los Angeles, has hired Kim Hourihan to join the firm as a portfolio manager and a managing director of the managed accounts group. She will be based in the firm's New York office.

Hourihan recently served as head of asset and portfolio management for a value-add entity for Starwood Capital Group, where she was also a member of the investment committee. Prior to that, she was a partner and regional director with TA Associates Realty in Boston, overseeing a portfolio of US assets worth more than $2 billion (€1.3 billion), and a senior vice president with George Town Holdings, Berhad in Malaysia. Based in London she had responsibility for a £300 million UK project including the operation of a feature film studio, future studio tour theme park, office and residential development. Hourihan has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from Boston College.

In 2007, CBRE promoted Paul Allegretti to senior managing director of the asset services group for the firm’s vast New York Tri-State Region portfolio. He is responsible for approximately 50 million square feet of properties in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
