Audrey Klein to leave Park Hill Real Estate

The founder of the placement agent's European business is departing next month to join a pan-Europe investment management firm later this year.

Audrey Klein, the managing director of Park Hill Real Estate Group in London, is departing the firm next month to go in-house. Klein, who is based in London, founded the European real estate division of the placement agency owned by The Blackstone Group. She is set to leave in July and expected to take a role with a pan-Europe real estate investment management firm in December, according to sources.

Klein's departure after eight years with the group follows news in February this year that Charles Purse, senior managing director and co-founder of the Park Hill Real Estate franchise, was to retire. As PERE  previously reported, Philip Levinson, head of Park Hill Real Estate in Asia, has left after five years with the firm.

Klein's next role is believed to be global head of marketing in the London office of Aerium, the pan-European real estate invest management firm with around €6.1 billion of assets. The firm employs around 200 people and has raised €3.5 billion of equity since 1988.

Klein joined Park Hill Real Estate in 2006, having run Caskar Partners for five years. There, she marketed alternative funds across all asset classes, including private equity, real estate and hedge funds. She also worked at Babcock & Brown, where she co-founded its German office, and began her career at Bank of America in San Francisco working on syndications.
