ATRS confirms $155m in commitments

The US pension has backed three real estate funds.

Arkansas Teacher Retirement System has confirmed $155 million-worth of commitments to three private real estate funds, according to materials from the pension’s September 2021 board meeting.

The pension committed $55 million to LBA Logistics Value Fund IX. The fund also made commitments to GLP Capital Partners IV and Carlyle Realty Partners IX at $50 million each. The commitments to Carlyle and GLP Capital Partner’s funds represent re-ups. The pension previously invested $100 million to Carlyle’s fund and $50 million to GLP’s fund.

The $21.2 billion US public pension has a 6.3 percent current allocation to real estate and tends to target North America-focused vehicles pursuing value added or opportunistic strategies.
