APFC’s CIO resigns

CEO Angela Rodell is working with the Board of Trustees to lead the search process for the CIO position.

Russell Read, the chief investment officer of the Alaska Permanent Fund (APFC), has tendered his resignation. A member of the APFC’s Executive Team since May of 2016, Mr. Read leaves to pursue an opportunity based in London according to a press release.

Marcus Frampton has been tapped as acting chief investment officer. Mr. Frampton previously served as the Director of Investments, Real Assets & Absolute Return.

The $65 billion US public pension has a 11 percent target allocation to real estate that currently stands at 9 percent.
