APFC appoints new CIO

After considering other applicants, the sovereign wealth fund decided to promote from within for the chief investment officer role.

Marcus Frampton has been promoted to chief investment officer of the Alaska Permanent Fund (APFC). Mr. Frampton has been acting CIO since the resignation of Russell Read in July and was previously the Director of Investments, Real Assets & Absolute Return. He joined the APFC in September of 2012. Prior to joining, Marcus held roles ranging from investment banking with Lehman Brothers to private equity investing with PCG Capital Partners.
