The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) has appointed Cerberus managing director Tom Arnold as head of Americas.

The Middle Eastern investor said in a statement that Arnold would be based in Abu Dhabi and report to Bill Schwab, global head of real estate.

Arnold, who is 51, is joining from Cerberus Capital Management where he was managing director responsible for the origination and execution of real estate, lending and private equity transactions. He is also a veteran of Netherland’s-based ING Real Estate, which he left to join Cerberus in 2003.
