VIDEO: Is this London’s healthiest office building?

In developing the second-tallest tower in the city, AXA IM – Real Assets talks about the risks and rewards of investing in an emerging area of office amenitization.

In a still untested area of amenitization, AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets is making a massive bet on health and wellness with the 1.3 million-square-foot 22 Bishopsgate, which is the largest WELL-certified building by floor area in the UK and will be the second-tallest building in London when it opens next year.

The challenge with being an early adopter, however, is in the lack of established metrics that measure both the impact of wellness features on tenants and the return on investment.

PERE visits the 22 Bishopsgate development site and interviews AXA IM – Real Assets, the building’s landlord, and one of its big tenants, co-working business Convene, about the importance of health and wellness despite the current lack of supporting hard data.
