Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System has committed $100 million to EQT Exeter Industrial Value Fund VI, according to the pension fund’s recent meeting materials. The commitment was the first for the US pension fund with the asset manager.
Managed by EQT Exeter, Fund VI is a real estate value-added vehicle launched in May 2022 with a target size of $4 billion. It focuses on investments in the US industrial market. Its predecessor fund, Exeter Industrial Value Fund V exceeded its target size and closed with $2 billion in capital commitments.
The pension fund aims to allocate around $300 million for non-core real estate and $100 million to core real estate strategies in 2023. The target investment allocation for the pension fund in real estate is 10 percent, according to the PERE database.
