Texas ERS makes $165m in commitments

The US public pension makes a fresh investment and increases commitment to an existing relationship.

In August 2018, the Employees Retirement System of Texas made a commitment of $75 million to IndoSpace Logistics Parks III. A $90 million additional commitment was also made to Aviva Investors Real Estate Capital Global Co-Investment Fund, bringing the total commitment to $150 million.

The IndoSpace fund will opportunistically invest in the development, leasing and management of large warehouses in India. Aviva Investors Real Estate Capital Global Co-Investment Fund (AIREC) will continue to invest globally in non-core, tactical opportunities primarily in co-investments.

The 29 billion US public pension has an 8 percent target allocation to private real estate that currently stands at 6.9 percent.
