Sentinel hires ex-PRP director Barlett

The New York-based firm has appointed Robert Bartlett as managing director of its investor relations department.

Sentinel Real Estate has hired former PRP Real Estate Investors director Robert Bartlett as head of its investor relations department.

The New York-based firm said in a statement the new position would see Bartlett responsible for all US marketing and business development functions, including communication with LPs and consultants. Bartlett will report to David Weiner, Sentinel vice chairman.

Bartlett joined Sentinel in December after almost two years at Washington, DC-based PRP. Prior to PRP, Sentinel was senior vice president of GE Asset Management, focused on investor relations in the South East of the US, according to his LinkedIn profile. Bartlett was also a principal at Lend Lease Real Estate.

Traditionally a core and core-plus investor, Sentinel reportedly raised $85 million for its debut value-added vehicle in 2009, shy of its $350 million target, according to REAlert.
