Schonbraun McCann division changes name

The accounting arm of the real estate consulting firm appoints former Vornado executive Stanley Perla as managing director of its newly-named Cornerstone Accounting Group.

Schonbraun McCann has hired former Vornado Realty Trust vice president Stanley Perla to lead its rebranded accounting arm, Cornerstone Accounting Group.

Perla was previously head of Vornado’s internal audit department and was former partner and national director of real estate accounting services for Ernst & Young.

Earlier this year, the New York-based real estate consulting firm acquired by advisory company, FTI Consulting, in a deal worth $125 million (€79 million). Schonbraun founder Bruce Schonbraun said in a statement the consulting and accounting arms of the business needed to “grow in different ways” and that the firm’s acquisition “provided an ideal opportunity to carve out a distinct identity” for both divisions.
