RREEF hires former RE fund of funds exec as managing director

Deutsche Bank’s alternative investment management unit has appointed former American Value Partners co-founder Susan Barlow as a managing director.

RREEF Alternative Investments has hired Susan Barlow to join the firm as a managing director and head of global client relations. Barlow, based in New York, will report to RREEF Alternative Investments global head Chuck Leitner.   

In her new post, Barlow will be responsible for overseeing RREEF’s client relations across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. She will also be involved in investment product development and join the firm’s global executive committee and global alternative assets investment committee.  

Barlow was previously a co-founder of institutional real estate fund of funds American Value Partners and also founded Fiduciary Capital, which specialized in raising capital for limited partnerships from institutional investors. Prior to that, she was a managing director involved in starting Callan Real Estate Services, an affiliate of Callan Associates. Barlow has a BS from Black Hills State University and a MBA from the University of Denver.
