RREEF adds research head

Invesco’s former research director has joined the real estate investment business of Deutsche Bank’s asset management division as global head of research.

Mark Roberts has joined RREEF, the real estate investment business of Deutsche Bank’s asset management division, as a managing director and global head of research. According to the firm, he also will be a member of RREEF's global investment committee.

In the new role, Roberts will oversee the research teams that support RREEF’s global real estate investment process. He will be based in New York and report directly to RREEF's global chief investment officer, Kurt Roeloffs.

“Mark’s depth of knowledge and perspective on the trends driving the global real estate landscape are highly complementary to RREEF’s legacy of delivering best-in-class market intelligence to clients and investment teams,” said Roeloffs. “He is a leading authority on real estate research, and we are extremely pleased to have someone of his calibre join our team.”

Roberts joins RREEF from Invesco Real Estate, where he most recently was the global director of research, chairman of its investment strategy group and a member of the executive and investment committees. Prior to Invesco, where he held various positions since 1996, he was director of development/construction for Club Corp International, a Dallas-based global hospitality company.

In addition to his role at RREEF, Roberts is the incoming chairman of the board for the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries and was the former president of the Real Estate Research Institute.
