Rockspring hires ex-rugby star to tackle Europe IR

The London-based real estate investment management firm has brought aboard ex- Newcastle Falcons player Allen Chilten as a senior manager in its EMEA investor relations team.

Rockspring Property Investment Managers, the London-based real estate investment management firm, has hired Allen Chilten as a senior manager in its Europe, Middle East and Africa investor relations team.

The firm announced the hire today stating he would report to Rockspring’s global head of investor relations, Kathryn Dixon.

Chilten joins from Credit Suisse where he was responsible for developing business and serving clients in Europe. In his new role he will raise capital from investors as well as provide client services to them.

His arrival comes two months after Gareth Dittmer, previously head of investor relations for EMEA at Rockspring, left the firm to join Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing as head of investor relations for EMEA at the investment bank platform.

Chilten was previously also a professional rugby player for the Newcastle Falcons, the Celtic Warriors and London Welsh and has run his own wealth management company.

Dixon said: “This appointment demonstrates our ability to attract the best talent in the market as we continue to expand and build on successful fundraising initiatives such as, most recently, TransEuropean V. Rockspring’s team of Investor Relations professionals is dedicated to delivering best-in-class service to our clients and I am confident that Allen’s skill set, expertise and energy will prove invaluable to both Rockspring and our investors.”

Rockspring closed TransEuropean V, a pan-Europe, core, core-plus and value-added investment fund on €350 million last month thanks to commitments from old and new investors.
