Rhode Island commits $30m to real estate

The US pension fund has committed $30m across two real estate funds.

Rhode Island State Treasury committed $30 million to real estate across two funds – $25 million to Raith Real Estate Fund III and $5 million to AEW Core Property Trust – according to its latest investment meeting materials.

Rhode Island State Treasury administers and manages investments on behalf of the Employees’ Retirement System of Rhode Island.

Founded in 2012, Raith Capital Partners is a New York-based asset management firm focused on distressed loans and commercial mortgage-backed securities across the US.

Since 1981, AEW has created and executed real estate investment strategies on behalf of institutional investors. The firm provide access to the real estate asset class through a broad platform of separately managed accounts and open- and closed-end funds.
