As the voting deadline for PERE‘s annual awards draws near, competition is fierce. More than 4,500 voters have cast their ballots, and several categories are on track to be decided by the tightest of margins.
Global firm of the year is on a knife edge, with just a few votes separating Blackstone and Starwood, and secondaries firm of the year is also a close call between Landmark Partners and Partners Group. Meanwhile in North America, law firms are neck-and-neck in both categories, fund formation and transactions.
In Europe, nearly all the country-specific firm of the year categories – France, UK, Italy and others – have tight races that could swing either way, depending on this week’s votes.
In Asia, some equally heated contests have emerged, with voters nearly equally split between Allianz Real Estate and GIC for institutional investor of the year, as well as Blackstone and Gaw Capital for fundraise of the year. Capital advisory firm of the year has less than a 20-vote difference between JLL and Macquarie Capital.
With many categories lacking a clear winner, your vote could make all the difference. If you haven’t yet cast a ballot, click here to vote for 2017’s standout performers by January 8.
Results will be revealed in March.
