Patron Capital makes push into healthcare sector

The London–based private equity real estate firm has hired ex Macquarie Capital Advisors’ Tim Street to pursue investments in healthcare-related operating companies backed by real estate

Patron Capital, the pan-European private equity real estate firm, is making a push into the healthcare sector.

The firm has hired Tim Street as a senior advisor in its London office it told investors earlier this week.

Street is a former managing director at Australia’s Macquarie Capital Advisors where he led the firm’s growth of healthcare advisory services in Europe.

Keith Breslauer, managing director of Patron, told investors in a circular that healthcare was a “major area of focus” and fitted in with Patron’s strategy of investing in property and corporate-related entities whose value was primarily supported by property assets.

The company is currently investing a €1 billion fund, Patron Capital III, which held a final close in March 2007.
