Patrizia Immobilien, the German-based real estate investment company, has appointed Peter Macpherson as director, institutional clients.
Macpherson joins the firm from Edinburgh-based asset management company Scottish Widows Investment Partnership where he was commercial director in the real estate division, responsible for fund creation and third-party equity raising.
Prior to his time at Scottish Widows, Macpherson held executive positions at ING Real Estate Investment Management where he led a team which won more than 40 major real estate investment mandates from UK institutional investors.
“We are delighted to have found Peter Macpherson, a proven real estate expert who not only has a great amount of experience but also enjoys a high degree of trust within the English-speaking investor community,” Wolfgang Egger, chief executive of Patrizia, commented.
Patrizia currently employs 800 people with 90 percent of its €15 billion portfolio managed on behalf of third-parties such as insurance companies, pension fund institutions, sovereign wealth funds and savings banks.
