Parmenter hires Connell as advisor

Alice Connell has joined the value-added investor’s advisory board, joining the likes of Jim Didion and Tim Hoeppner, among others. Connell left TIAA-Cref in 2007 to form her own advisory firm, AM Connell Associates.

Alice Connell has been hired to the advisory board of Parmenter Realty Partners joining the likes of former Richard Ellis chairman Jim Didion and MacArthur Foundation real estate managing director Tim Hoeppner.

Connell was with TIAA-Cref, the financial services group and provider of retirement services in the academic, research, medical, and cultural fields, until spinning out on her own in 2007, when she formed her advisory firm AM Connell Associates.

Connell was a managing director at TIAA-CREF and head of its real estate fund portfolio, responsible for the organisation’s commercial mortgage portfolio, direct acquisitions and portfolio management for all domestic, international, and global funds.

She joins, among others, former Richard Ellis chairman Jim Didion, ex-Stanford University real estate head Larry Owen, MacArthur Foundation real estate managing director Tim Hoeppner and Hewlett Foundation real estate director Verna Kuo, on Parmenter’s advisory committee.

Miami-based Parmenter is a value-added investor that has raised three funds, including Parmenter Realty Fund III, which closed in October 2006 with $245.5 million of equity commitments.
