NYSCRF commits to value-add vehicle

The New York state pension is backing Bell Partners US value-add property fund.

The New York State Common Retirement Fund has announced a $150 million commitment to Bell Value-Add Fund VIII, which has recently concluded its fundraising with a total of $1.3 billion.

Fund VIII will invest in the US multifamily and residential sectors under a value-add strategy.

NYSCRF allocates 10.48 percent of its investment portfolio to real estate, amounting to $25.39 billion in capital.
