New York State Common Retirement Fund recently revealed real estate commitments in its monthly transaction reports.
The commitments are spread along various strategies with $250 million to the KKR Real Estate Partners Americas IV opportunistic fund, and $400 million to the NYSCRF Frontier Mach III core-plus fund, managed by Artemis Real Estate Partners. Both KKR and Artemis have an existing relationship with NYSCRF.
KKR seeks to raise $4 billion for its fund to mainly target industrial, rental housing and self-storage assets across the US.
The US pension currently has a 9.92 percent allocation towards private real estate investments.
