MSRPS commits $100 million to core-plus real estate fund

Maryland State Retirement and Pension System has recently allocated $100 million to a private real estate fund, according to materials from its February 2023 investment committee meeting.

The Baltimore-based pension system committed $100 million to FPA Core Plus Fund VI, managed by FPA Multifamily. The 2022 vintage fund follows a core-plus strategy and invests in multifamily and residential sectors across the US.

Maryland SRPS’s most recent real estate commitment was $100 million allocated to MetLife Core Property Fund in October 2022.
