Morley adds property pros to asset management group

The asset management division of Aviva has hired two asset managers to join the firm’s UK Retail Property Funds team.

Morley, Aviva’s UK-based asset management division, has added two asset managers to its UK Retail Property Funds team. Douglas Carson and Jessica Way have joined the firm reporting to Philip Nell, head of UK Retail Property Funds. The pair will manage assets in the firm's Norwich Property Trust.

Carson is joining the firm from Jones Lang LaSalle where he was responsible for managing a portfolio of industrial, retail and office properties. Way was previously at Cheval Properties as an asset manager for a closed-ended off shore property fund with a regional portfolio of properties.

In February, Aviva announced it was combining its asset management businesses to create a single, globally integrated asset manager to be known as Aviva Investors, formally launching in September 2008.
