Mercer hires former LaSalle pro

The global consultant has hired Paul Richards as head of European Real Estate Boutique in London.


Mercer, the global financial consultant, has stepped up its capabilities in European real estate with the appointment of a new head of its European Real Estate Boutique.

Paul Richards has joined the firm in London having previously been head of indirect investment and global managed accounts at LaSalle Investment Management, where he was responsible for managing global portfolios of unlisted real estate funds for clients from Europe and Asia Pacific.

The European Real Estate Boutique, part of Mercer’s investment consulting business, has been staffing up over the past 18 months. It advises clients such as pension funds on their investments in real estate, including in private equity real estate funds.

In addition to its European Real Estate Boutique division, Mercer also has a  European research team covering European real estate products and headed globally by Allison Yager.

The firm does not have a direct real estate fund or fund of funds.
