Louisiana School Employees’ Retirement System has agreed to commit $30 million to Henderson Park Real Estate Fund II at its July 2021 investment committee meeting, a contact at the pension confirmed to PERE.

The pension previously committed $40 million to the vehicle’s predecessor, Henderson Park Real Estate Fund I, which held a final close at $2.2 billion in June 2019, more than doubling its target of $950 million.

As illustrated below, LSERS allocates 12 percent of its full investment portfolio to private real estate. The pension’s recent commitments to private real estate have been to vehicles that primarily employ a value-added or opportunity strategy targeting investments in North America.
