Houston Firefighters' Relief and Retirement Fund has named Ajit Singh chief investment officer.

New Jersey Division of Investment has made $100 million commitment to Perella Weinberg Real Estate Fund III.

The Board of the Municipal Fire & Police Retirement System of Iowa has moved to commit $25 million to Long Wharf Real Estate Partners Fund V.

Alaska Permanent Fund's chief investment officer, Jay Willoughby, was named CIO of  The Investment Fund for Foundations, effective Oct 13.

South Carolina Retirement System has made $100 million commitments each to Crow Holdings Realty Partners VII fund and Torchlight Investors Debt Opportunity Fund V.

El Paso Firemen & Policemen's Pension Fund has appointed Tyler C. Grossman executive director. Grossman currently is chairman of the fund’s board of trustees and his replacement may be addressed at next month’s board meeting.

Arizona State Retirement System will vote on the approval of a new Real Estate Investment Program Strategic Plan, a proposal to expand the firm's separate account program.

The New York City comptroller's office, managing the New York City Retirement Systems, is looking for a real estate investment officer and senior investment analyst.

 

22 September

South Carolina Retirement System's Chief Investment Officer, Hershel Harper, decided to resign from his position to consider further professional opportunities effective September 30.

 

21 September

California Public Employees' Retirement System is planning to invest $6.33 billion in multiple funds and joint ventures to existing real estate managers in the fiscal year of 2015-2016.

New Jersey Division of Investment is going to consider a €90 million commitment to Perella Weinberg Real Estate Fund III at the Investment Council's meeting on Wednesday.

 

18 September

California Public Employees' Retirement System is preparing an RFP for a real estate board investment consultant. The document will be published next month.

 

16 September

San Francisco Employees' Retirement System has committed $100 million to Cerberus Institutional Real Estate Partners IV.

The Westfield Retirement Board is soliciting proposals from managers interested in providing investment services in managing a core plus or value add real estate mandate. Only commingled investment vehicles will be considered.

 

 15 September

The Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan has named Nicole Musicco to the newly created position of managing director for Asia-Pacific and head of its Hong Kong office.

Texas Permanent School Fund  has committed up to $50 million each to GreenOak Asia II and a co-investment in real estate secondary funds.

Maine Public Employees Retirement System has committed up to $50 million to KKR Real Estate Partners Europe.

 

 14 September

Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana has committed $75 million to Colony Capital’s Distressed Credit Fund IV and $50 million to Crow Holdings Realty Partners’ VII.

 

 11 September

According to the September quarterly report, Michigan Department of Treasury committed $50 million to True North Real Estate III in the quarter ended June 30.

At the September 9 meeting of the Investment Advisory Council for the Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Fund, State Treasuree Denise Nappier presented a $100 million investment opportunity – Crow Holdings Realty Partners VII.

 

10 September

Teacher Retirement System of Texas has approved $100 million commitment to Lionstone's US Value-Add Fund IV and additional $100 million co-investment to LCA4 Co-Investment I.

 

 9 September

Nebraska Investment Council  has further committed $6 million to UBS Trumbull Property Fund.

 

 8 September

Houston Municipal Employees Pension System has committed $15 million to Long Wharf Real Estate Partners' fifth fund.

 

 7 September

The Teacher Retirement System of Texas is opening its first international office in London. It is expected to increase the number of investment opportunities in the region.


4 September

The Board members of the Norfolk County Retirement System (NCRS) are currently seeking Requests for Proposal for value added/opportunistic real estate investment manager services. The NCRS seeks to commit as much as $20 million.


3 September

The Holyoke Retirement System is considering an allocation towards core open-ended and value add closed-ended real estate portfolio. The mandate will be approximately $10 million for the closed-ended fund.


2 September

At the investment committee meeting tomorrow, Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana will review potential private market investments: Colony Distressed Credit Fund IV, Crow Holdings Realty Partners VII and Summit Partners Growth Equity IX.

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System appointed Richard D. Shafer as its new Chief Investment Officer.


1 September

University of Florida Foundation's real estate portfolio outperformed its benchmark of 11.8% with a fiscal year return of 14.4%. The opportunistic strategy was a strong contributor.

At the August Merced County Employees' Retirement Association Board meeting there was a review of value added real estate. The investment consultant presented American Realty Strategic Value, Clarion Ventures IV, Patron V, and Prudential European Value. The Board asked Patron to make a presentation to a future Board meeting.
