Liquid Realty continues back-office hires

The private equity real estate secondaries specialist has added a senior controller to its lineup.

San Francisco-based secondaries firm Liquid Realty Partners has appointed Scot Marsh as senior controller. Marsh will be responsible for accounting, taxation, reporting and related activities of the firm’s investments.

Prior to joining Liquid, Marsh was chief financial officer and controller at international consulting firm Chemrisk, where he directed finance, accounting, human resources and administration procedures. Prior to Chemrisk, Marsh was a controller at OnMark Technologies and chief financial officer at Newbury Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm. Marsh was also formerly senior tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers; director of tax reporting services at Arthur Andersen; and tax compliance manager at Ernst & Young.

Liquid’s latest hire follows on the heels of the firm’s announcement last month that it brought on Krista Jones as fund controller to join the firm’s finance group. Jones, a certified public accountant, was previously a financial analyst at Credit Suisse and a senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining Liquid.

The real estate secondaries firm also recently expanded its growing investment team with the addition of Stephen Maxon as an analyst to the firm’s acquisitions group. Maxon represents the third addition to Liquid Realty’s investment team since the beginning of the year.
