LaSalle Investment Management appoints Uwe Rempis as head of asset management following two years of service.

Chicago-based LaSalle Investment Management has promoted Uwe Rempis to head of asset management for Northern Europe.

Rempis, who has been with the firm since 2007, has been involved in the asset management and acquisitions of properties for a number of its German and European vehicles.

He will be based in Munich and report directly to Insa von Jurgensson, head of portfolio management for northern Europe.

He was previously a senior asset manager working predominately on office and retail assets in Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.

Before joining LaSalle, Rempis worked for German insurance firm Allianz where he held a number of positions in its asset management, acquisitions and sales teams for Northern and Central Europe.

As of quarter 2009, LaSalle had approximately $37.5 billion of assets under management.
