Landmark Partners raises $3.3bn

Landmark Partners held a final close for its Landmark Real Estate Partners VIII at $3.3 billion at the end of March, surpassing its original $2 billion target. The fund was launched in November 2016.

Some of the investors in the fund include the San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System, Nebraska Investment Council, Arkansas Teacher Retirement System (ATRS), New York State Common Retirement Fund, New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS), Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds and the Minnesota State Board of Investment.

The fund’s predecessor closed at $1.6 billion in April 2015.

The firm will use the capital from the latest fund to make secondaries investments in a diverse number of sectors across Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
