Klein departs Aerium after a year

The former founder of Park Hill Real Estate’s European business has left the Europe-focused real estate fund manager to pursue other opportunities.

Audrey Klein, one of the best known names in the European real estate fund placement business, has left European real estate fund manager Aerium just one year after joining the firm.

Klein, who only joined the firm in January last year as senior managing director and head of fundraising and business development, has left to “pursue other opportunities” she said in an email.

Klein founded the European business of Park Hill Real Estate, the capital raising subsidiary of The Blackstone Group, in 2006 and acted as managing principal establishing more than 200 investor relationships across continental Europe for the firm.

Prior to that, she spent five years running Caskar Partners in Munich marketing alternative asset funds for asset classes including private equity, real estate and hedge funds. She began her career at Bank of America in San Francisco working on syndication across various sectors before co-founding a real estate fund for the group together with Boston Capital.
