KKR snags LBO France fundraiser

Veteran European fundraiser Elizabeth O’Reilly has left the French firm for KKR, as the listed giant continues to strengthen its IR team.

Senior investor relations professional Elizabeth O’Reilly has joined Kohlberg Kravis Roberts from LBO France, PERE has learned.

LBO France confirmed that O’Reilly had left the Paris-based private equity firm, where for the last seven years she headed fundraising and investor relations. O’Reilly oversaw the establishment of more than 20 funds across the firm’s small- and mid-cap private equity platforms as well as co-investment and real estate funds.

O’Reilly’s title and responsibilities at NYSE-listed KKR could not be determined at press time.

KKR declined to comment while O’Reilly could not be reached for comment.

KKR has been steadily strengthening its fundraising team over the past two years as it seeks to diversify and grow its LP roster from its traditional base of more than 300 limited partners. In the recent past it has tried to recruit a senior private equity real estate team.

The build-up also comes ahead of an anticipated fundraising for its next private equity fund, which could be launched, “in the next few quarters”, firm partner Scott Nuttall said during a second quarter earnings call.

KKR’s fundraising team has gone from “five to eight people three years ago”, to about 30 people today, Suzanne Donohoe, the global head of KKR’s client and partner group, told PEO last month. “It’s been a pretty steady expansion over the last 24 months.”
