Hudson appoints ex-Investcorp asset manager

The New York-based fund manager has hired Heather Mutterperl to build its asset management team, particularly in the multifamily sector. Mutterperl was part of the three-man team who launched the $100m TriLyn-Investcorp Mezzanine Fund.

Hudson Realty Capital has hired former Investcorp asset manager Heather Mutterperl as director.

The New York-based private equity real estate firm said Mutterperl be a senior member of the asset management team, with a focus on Hudson’s multifamily portfolio.

Mutterperl was previously an asset manager with Investcorp International, the asset management arm of the Bahrain bank Investcorp. She was part of the team that last year launched the $100 million TriLyn-Investcorp Mezzanine Fund. Mutterperl has also worked for PaineWebber Real Estate and Clarion Capital.

Hudson closed its fourth opportunity fund on $350 million last year. The firm invests in debt and equity middle market opportunities, including under-performing mortgages, “value-added” properties and real estate-related instruments.
