New York-based Hodes Weill & Associates is expanding its services to include debt restructuring and debt recapitalisation.
The firm until now has been an advisor and principal on the recapitalization of fund portfolios. It is now advising and providing capital on the debt recapitalisation side as well.
Principal Ray Potter, who joined Hodes Weill in November of 2009 from Rainew Realty Advisors, is leading the debt recapitalisation side of the business.
Partner Susan Swanezy told PERE that while advisory services would continue to be an important component of the firm’s business, it sees principal activity as able to present additional opportunities and keep it involved in deal flow.
Swanezy joined Hodes in January 2010 from Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Investments Group, where she was managing director and head of distribution.
