Hines taps Starwood’s Keber as senior managing director

The Starwood professional, Christopher Keber, has joined Hines in the firm’s new ‘office of investments’ as a member of the company’s capital markets team, based in New York.

Christopher Keber, director of global capital raising at Starwood Capital Group, has left the company to join developer and fund manager, Hines.

Keber is  based in New York for the company and becomes senior managing director in a new ‘office of investments’. He has joined as a member of Hines’ capital markets team with responsibility for institutional capital raising, and structuring of commingled funds, programmatic joint ventures and separate accounts.

At Starwood, which he joined in March 2010, he led the global capital raising and investor relations efforts and prior to that was raising funds for third parties at the Real Estate Private Funds Group of Credit Suisse.

Hines’ chief executive officer of capital markets, Christopher Hughes, said in a statement: “Chris comes to Hines with an enormous amount of relevant experience, shared values and a commitment to successful investor relationships.  We are very pleased to have him join our firm.”

Hines is a privately owned real estate firm and has 104 offices in 18 countries.
