Goldcrest Farm Trust Advisors raises $300m

The US-based farmland investment management company closes second REIT.

Goldcrest Farm Trust Advisors has closed its second farmland REIT, Goldcrest Farm Trust Fund II, at $300 million. The firm will invest in high-quality established farms, “fixer uppers,” and greenfield development projects, with medium to long-term leases with some of the best operators in each region.

The privately held trust is backed by institutional investors.

The close of its second fund has brought the firm’s committed capital to $600 million, including the inaugural Goldcrest Farm Trust Fund I, which also closed at $300 million in 2015.
