Ex-Schroders property head Hill takes next role

In his first role since leaving Schroders, William Hill has joined London-based real estate investment manager Mayfair Capital Investment Management.

William Hill, the former head of property at London-based investment manager Schroders, has joined UK real estate investment management business Mayfair Capital Investment Management as a non-executive director.

It is the first role for Hill since he stepped down from Schroders last November and was succeeded by Duncan Owen, the firm’s property investment head. He worked there for almost 25 years.

He has joined a business with £350 million (€422.4 million; $582.6 million) of own funds and £150 million of advisory capital under management and which operates various strategies focused on UK real estate. It counts individual investors, charities, pensions and institutions among its investors.

He joins the firm’s board on which he will help to develop the business going forward. He also has been tasked with improving its corporate governance and expanding its relationships with investors.

In an announcement on his appointment, Mayfair Capital’s chairman Stephen Musgrave said: “William is one of Europe’s leading real estate investment managers and we are thrilled to have him join the Mayfair Capital board. His wisdom and experience will be invaluable to the firm as it continues its ambitious growth strategy.”
