Ex-GE Asset Management exec joins PRP

PRP Real Estate Investors has hired former GE Asset Management executive Bob Bartlett as director of its marketing and investor relations group.

The Washington DC firm, also known as Perseus Realty Partners, said Bartlett would be responsible for raising funds and marketing the company’s existing vehicles, with a particular focus on the south of the US.

Bartlett was previously a senior vice president of GE Asset Management and before that was a principal with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments.

In April, the firm hired Bill Trimble to fill the newly created position of chief operating officer reporting to Dougherty. Trimble spent 10 years as head of client relations for Baltimore-based asset management firm Red Comb, as well as working for hedge funds of funds firm Winston Capital Management.

PRP is currently investing Perseus Realty Partners II which held a first close in April 2008 and is targeting $200 million.
