Ex-AIG real estate exec to man Orco hospitality group

Keith Lindsay, the former global head of hospitality and leisure at AIG Global Real Estate, has been appointed to oversee Orco's hospitality investments in Central Europe.

Orco Property Group has named AIG Global Real Estate's former global head of hospitality and leisure, Keith Lindsay, as chief executive officer of its hospitality group focused on Central Europe.

In his new post, Lindsay will oversee operations and asset management of Orco's existing hotel properties and new investments. Prior to his career at AIG, Lindsay was head of Russia for European hotel group Accor and also previously chief operating officer of Envergure Louvre Hotels. Lindsay also served as vice president for Europe investments at Intercontinental Hotel Group and also worked for the Walt Disney Company.

Orco president Jean-Francois Ott said in a statement today the Central European hospitality market was growing at a pace that would “accelerate even more” as additional countries qualified to join the Eurozone. The firm's hospitality assets include the Pachtuv Palace in Prague; the Hotel Le Regina in Warsaw; the Andrassy Hotel in Budapest; and the Pokrovka Suite Hotel in Moscow. Its portfolio also includes nine hotels and resorts in Croatia.

Orco, based in Luxembourg, focuses on the Central European real estate and hospitality market. It currently has approximately €2.5 billion in assets under management.
