Europa promotes eight to equity partner

London-based private equity real estate firm rewards an octet from its ranks to equity partner for their ‘important contributions’ and fund co-investments ‘over the years’.

Europa Capital, the London-based private equity real estate firm recently backed by The Rockefeller Group, has promoted eight staff to equity partner.

The firm announced today that Erik Ruane, Nic Fox, Rob Sim, Belinda Chain, Richard Collins, Kevin D’Arcy, Simon Hooper and Jason Oram have received the promotions.

Of these, Ruane, Fox and Sim were previously directors while the others were members of Europa’s management team. They join the original equity partners Peter Cluff, Christopher Curtis, Charles Graham, Noel Manns and Robert Martin, who own 25 percent.

The other 75 percent of the firm, which has raised six real estate funds and has invested approximately €7 billion across Europe since its inception in 1995, was acquired by New York-based real estate investment firm, Rockefeller Group International, last year.

Europa said in its announcement: “Each of these individuals has made an important contribution to the growth of the Europa Capital business over a number of years, investing alongside our investors in our-European funds. We are confident that the expansion of the partnership will be a key contributor to
the continued successful growth of Europa Capital.”
